The smaller body and hand-voiced
X-bracing gives a more focused midrange sound, without sacrificing
bass response, and incredible balance across the entire 4-octave
range of this instrument. This is a fingerpicker's dream guitar,
and I've made several with a 1-7/8" neck to give more room
for intricate contrapuntal playing. It's smaller size also
makes it more comfortable to hold for some players.
The neck joins at the 19th fret, allowing
comfortable left-hand positions in all registers - the thumb
can stay behind the neck all the way to the 22nd fret.
My steel-string guitars also feature my Pinless Bridge Design.
